Module 1: Energy Audit and Management [45hrs]
This module trains participants in the techniques of energy audits, enabling them to identify areas of high energy intensity in a process industry facility. Participants will also gain awareness on effective energy management system for sustained energy performance as well as the economics of energy management and cost benefit analysis. Regulatory guidelines, industrial standards and government energy incentive schemes will also be introduced.
Module 2: Energy Efficiency and Conservation [45hrs]
This module provides participants with the understanding and knowledge to monitor and calculate process equipment energy efficiency as well as the efficiency measures that can be implemented to improve the equipment energy performances. Energy conservation techniques to minimise utilities and electrical losses will also be taught.
Module 3: Energy Technology & System Level Optimisation [45hrs]
This module discusses the energy technologies that can be tapped on to enhance process plant energy performances. Participants will gain an understanding of pinch technology to design heat exchanger networks for improved energy efficiency. This module will also cover the principles and concepts of renewable/alternative energy technologies and their applicability to process industry. The module also explores site wide system level consideration for energy conservation and will cover topics such as steam/power system optimisation, low grade heat recovery and interaction of energy projects with utility system.
