Visual Communication team Wins Hard Rock Cafe Singapore “Support Local Businesses” Marketing Pitch Competition!

Visual Communication students Sherwyn Ng (VM), Charissa Cheok (VM), and Yang Shi Cheng (VBI) teamed up to participate in the three weeks long workshop/ project from 8 - 29 Mar 2021 against 3 different teams. The teams had to come up with marketing ideas and concepts creatively brand the company, Hard Rock Café, the winning idea would be adapted by Hard Rock Café Singapore.

This was a really meaningful platform as it helped deepen our I&E skills and contribute to the businesses.
Overall, it was fun and exciting to share our ideas to professionals and seek their advice.

Three workshops were organised by StartUp SG and Singapore Institute of Retail Studies, followed by one coaching session to expand the teams’ knowledge, deepen their thinking and finalise their concept before the pitch day.
The team’s good initiative on brand tie-up based upon the target demographics’ needs and preferences, the creativity of their ideas and attention to detail especially at customer touchpoints impressed the judges and resulted in their victory!
