Angeline Woi Hui Yun Wins Medallion of Excellence at WorldSkills 2025

Angeline Woi Hui Yun (Dip in Food & Beverage Business, Class of 2025) made her mark on the international stage by winning a Medallion of Excellence at WorldSkills 2025. Her win is a proud moment for NYP and reflects her dedication, creativity, and passion for food.
In the lead-up to the competition, Angeline trained intensely for over 1,000 hours in four months to perfect her skills and push her limits. Her hard work paid off as she wowed judges in three categories: Canapés, Main Course, and Dessert.

Her canapé creations were both elegant and beautiful: Brioche with Pan-Seared Salmon and Yogurt, Parmesan Sable with Spinach and Cream Cheese Chicken, Filo with Braised Beef and Mushroom with Coriander Yogurt Sauce, and Deep-Fried Brioche with Prawns.
The main course featured a beautifully plated dish comprising a Mystery Protein, Cauliflower Choux, Onion Confit Tarte, and French Beans with Chives.
She concluded her menu with a vibrant dessert: Pistachio Praline Choux with Raspberry Gel and Lime Basil Sauce – a creation showcasing finesse and bold flavour pairing.
Angeline credits her coaches for their constant support and guidance. This experience has sparked a stronger drive in her to keep improving and reach even higher standards in her craft.
