My journey began in Repair Operations, where I was hands-on with processing returned items, testing, troubleshooting with engineers, and managing cases. It was fast-paced, and I quickly learned the ropes, even getting the responsibility of handling returned cameras thanks to my growing skills and electronics knowledge.

Beyond the daily tasks, I was given an incredible opportunity to work on a significant individual project: developing a domain and email filtering system. The previous attempt using a large language model had low accuracy, so I took on the challenge of rewriting the entire system from scratch using Python. It was a deep dive into coding and problem-solving, aiming for precision.

And the hard work paid off: I achieved over 98% extraction accuracy across 40 different countries! This success was a huge confidence boost and led me to more exciting projects, including competitor analysis and mapping the customer journey, which even helped improve our customer service chatbot.

This experience truly showed me the power of applying the knowledge gained in polytechnic to solve real-world problems. It wasn't just about writing code; it was about understanding the business need and creating a solution that made a tangible impact, reducing validation efforts by a remarkable 70%.

But internship life wasn't all about work! Building relationships with my colleagues was a key part of the experience. We often shared meals, discussed our projects, and got to know each other better outside of the office.

One of the highlights was the company's vibrant Chinese New Year celebration. It was fantastic to see everyone come together, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and experience the strong sense of community within the company.

I also learned the importance of being a team player and how to handle different situations, including interacting with customers, sometimes even difficult ones. My ability to manage these interactions tactfully was something I developed on the job, working closely with both engineers and customers. It taught me valuable communication and interpersonal skills that are just as crucial as technical ones.

My internship was a period of significant growth. I honed my technical expertise, learned to tackle complex projects independently, and developed essential soft skills. It reinforced my belief that polytechnic provides the practical foundation needed to excel in the industry. This experience wasn't just a stepping stone; it was a launchpad that showed me what I can achieve.
