Recognising that AI is fundamentally reshaping the way we learn and work, NYP School of Engineering has partnered with AI Singapore (AISG) — the nation's authority on AI strategy and talent — to launch the Certified AI Practitioner in Engineering (CAIP-Engg) framework.
Setting an official benchmark for AI proficiency within the engineering sector, this national-level certification equips every NYP Engineering student with four key competencies:
- AI-Enabled Automated System Design & Process Control
Students learn to design and improve automated systems that leverage AI to enhance precision, efficiency, and reliability. - AI-Enabled IoT Applications & Management
Students gain the expertise to build and manage intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) networks, enabling smarter connectivity and real-time monitoring. - Engineering Data Analytics
Students are trained to analyse engineering data, uncover patterns and insights, and apply them to drive productivity and innovation. - AI Governance in Engineering
Students are introduced to frameworks that ensure AI is applied responsibly, ethically, and safely in engineering practices.
Students will be prepared to apply their AI skills effectively during internships, giving them an edge and helping them future-proof their capabilities. Whether it's enhancing career prospects, pivoting into AI-driven domains, or contributing to smarter and sustainable solutions, CAIPEngg provides the recognition, skills, and readiness for learners to lead across industries.
