As part of NYP’s Go Beyond initiative, our School of Engineering has partnered with three universities to maximise university opportunities for final-year students.

Through the University Pathway Programme, eligible students interested can experience university-level learning while studying at NYP, maintaining their GPAs before graduation: 

1. UPP–University Modules Track

Complete three (3) modules taught by professors from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), or the Singapore Management University (SMU). Thereafter, you could gain credit exemptions or skip certain foundational modules in NUS, NTU, or SMU, potentially fast-tracking your degree in less than three years!

Choi Junyoung (Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering) also shared how he stayed motivated throughout his UPP at NUS: “It can be quite difficult to catch up on your own when you miss even a single lecture, especially Physics. The tutorials helped me understand and revise what I learnt, especially in classes with smaller sizes – so it’s easier to ask questions and seek guidance. On days I don’t have classes, I usually study with my friend at a café on campus. That really kept me going.” 

2. UPP–University Immersion Project Track

Complete your final-year project – based on a topic assigned by the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) – and receive joint supervision by SUTD professors and NYP lecturers. Gain valuable experience in SUTD’s academic environment, interact with SUTD students, and receive an early conditional offer for admission to the world’s first Design·AI university.
