Class of 2023

Throughout my course of study, engaging in various projects has equipped me with essential teamwork skills, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and effective brainstorming. These experiences have effectively prepared me for real-world working environments.

Additionally, my internship at Open Mind Technologies proved to be invaluable. Under the guidance of a supportive mentor, I delved into machine programming, explored case studies, and mastered CAD/CAM software. The hands-on project assigned to me, from design conception to machining the final part, allowed me to seamlessly apply the skills acquired in academia to real-world scenarios, providing a solid foundation for future endeavours.

Class of 2023

In my journey in SEG for the past 3 years, I learned vast topics and modules which really upgraded my life skills and knowledge in engineering.  However, my internship in SSTC (Sodick) was really another level of experience in additive manufacturing in which I experienced doing metal printing independently and witness the Japa technology 3D printing with my very own eyes. Beside the learnings related to engineering I also mastered other interpersonal skills which made me very bold and confident when presenting my ideas during presentations and even in real life communicating with people.

Class of 2024

The 12 weeks overseas internship at Sansyu Japan was an enriching and valuable experience like no other, I learnt technical skills such as operating machines as well as CAD designing through different softwares, other than the technical aspects, I also learnt to be independent and to go beyond my comfort zone. Through this experience, my knowledge and view of the manufacturing industry was broadened, and I am sure the knowledge and skills I attained will carry on to my working life.
