Applying to DAE (A-Level)

Can I apply?

  1. All A-level holders may apply for your desired full-time diploma courses through the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) if you meet the Minimum Entry Requirements (MER).
  2. You may also choose to use your O-Level results or equivalent (e.g., school-based results) to apply for the 3-year diploma courses. For more details, please refer to the O-level qualification page.
  3. Note that meeting the MER is not a guarantee that you will be shortlisted. Shortlisting is based on merit and course availability in the year of application.

Selected courses require additional medical check-up or specific test (e.g., manual dexterity test is required for the Diploma in Oral Health Therapy).

  • H2 Mathematics or Economics: A - E
  • Any other H2 subject: A - E

Note:
Successful applicants may have to attend a bridging programme before the commencement of the courses.

* Applicants with colour vision deficiency, hearing and/or other physical impairment may encounter difficulties meeting the course requirements and expectations. Those who do not satisfy this requirement may not be accepted into the course of study.

3-Year Full Time Diploma Course

Note:

You may use your O-Level results to apply for the 3-year diploma courses.

To be eligible for consideration for admission, you must

  1. fulfil the aggregate (ELR2B2) computation requirements, and 
  2. meet the following course-specific minimum entry requirements based on your GCE ‘O’ Level results (up to two sittings) or equivalent examination results.

How do I apply?

STEP 1

Apply online

  1. Submit your application online during the stated application periods:
    • April intake: 21 Feb to 6 Mar 2025 (Tentative)
    • October intake: Aug 2025 (To be confirmed)
  2. Upload the following via our Document Submission System within 3 working days from the date of your application submission as instructed in the DAE application system:
    • Identification document (front & back if applicable) or passport 
    • Result slip or academic transcript
    • For April intake 3-year diploma course application, please also provide
  3. Ensure your name/identification number is clearly shown in all the documents submitted.
  4. If you are being sponsored for your studies, your sponsor is required to submit the Company Sponsorship Form.
  5. If you encounter any problems, please email contactNYP@nyp.edu.sg with
    • Screenshot(s) of the error message or issue you have encountered, 
    • Your name, and 
    • Last 4 characters of the ID you used during your application
STEP 2

Application outcome

  1. Application outcome will be available by 
    • April intake: 1 April
    • October intake: 30 September
  2. You may check your application status via the same application system you used to submit your application.
  3. You will receive enrolment notifications via SMS and email by 1 April (April intake) and 30 September (October intake) if you have been successfully posted to NYP. You will need to log in to the NYP e-enrolment system to accept the course offer and complete the enrolment process.
