Light to Night 2022

Our students created a total of nine motion graphics videos that were projected on three monumental facades in the civic district: - The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum, and the Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall. The students completed the challenging task in 10 weeks in collaboration with two artist mentors, Safuan Johari and Brandon Tay, from Lab B.

Christmas Greetings 2021 for the Suntec Big Screen

Our students completed their final year project for Suntec city convention centre's big screen display. Students completed this mammoth task of applying 3D to the entire concept.

The Trophy X MTV Woman’s Day

Our students collaborated with MTV Asia to develop eight 30-seconds motion graphics clips for International Women’s Day 2021. MTV is the world’s biggest youth entertainment brand and has a global reach of nearly 785 million households.

Christmas Greeting 2020 for The Big Picture @ Suntec

Our final year students work on a Christmas animated greeting display for the Suntec’s The Big Picture as part of our ongoing MOU with Suntec Singapore! 6 of our MG students were given the opportunity to create a 1 minute 30 secs Christmas greeting. For this year’s theme, the students came up with the concept of a toy factory.

The idea was to showcase how Christmas toys were manufactured in Santa’s workshop and being delivered to kids around the world. The students envisioned this concept by creating the piece with a 3D isometric view and showcasing the different sections of the factory by bringing the viewers through a journey. It is now playing at Suntec big screen and is scheduled to run till 31 December 2020.

The Light to Night Festival Projection Mapping 2020

The Light to Night Festival returns to the heart of Singapore’s Civic District on 10-19 January 2020!


Inspired by the theme Invisible Cities, Look out for the 3 different projection works at The Arts House, done by out talented year 2 students. This project is in collaboration with Artist Safuan Johari

Motion Typography 2020

Our Motion Graphics and Broadcast Design Year 1 students did us proud at the “Oral History Video Challenge”! Organised by the National Archives of Singapore, participants had to select an audio extract of oral history interviewees from the NAS oral history collection and produce a video to tell these stories!

Motion Graphics Design 2019 Reel

Nanyang Polytechnic's School of Interactive and Digital Media (SIDM)'s annual graduation show where graduating students from our school gather to showcase their talents through their work, projects, portfolio and productions done during their 3 years of study with us.

The projects were also showcased to the public at the FUSION 2019 Graduation Show held in April 2019 at the Suntec Convention Centre!

National Day Parade 2019 - Behind the scenes

Motion Graphic Design has been creating on-screen graphic for National Day Parade since 2010.

National Day Parade 2019

Our students from the Diploma of Motion Graphics and Broadcast produced the visual on-screen display for the National Day Parade 2019. 

The screen visuals were designed to support part of the NDP performances which involves more than 800 dance performers and lead performer Aisyah Aziz.

Naiise Iconic Singapore

This solo final year project was done by Cynthia Luo Zi Qing, designed for the launch and opening of Naiise at Jewel Chagi Airport.

Naiise is one of the largest an fastest growing design retailers in the region. They curate original, well-designed products and daily design inspirations from more than 1,000 emerging and established designers from around the world.

2018 Chinese New Year Greetings for The Big Picture @ Suntec - Behind the scenes

This year Chinese New year e greeting display was featured at Suntec city high definition digital wall, also known as the Big Picture. It consists of 664 full HD LED screens and covers an area of 556.1 sqm. It stands over 15m tall and 60m wide. This is a project collaboration between Suntec city and NYP SIDM. Done by the students from the Diploma in Motion Graphics and Broadcast Design. The concept behind this e-greeting card revolves around the visiting aspect of the festive season. Each digital panel will reveal an opening into the living spaces of conventional Singapore housing. It captures the festive season in a 24 hours timeline from dawn till dusk.reetings.

This year once again two groups of students from the Diploma in Motion Graphics and Broadcast Design are in charge of working with the National Day parade on screen display for ACT 1 and ACT 5.

"The Reflection of You" for Roll Royce

Students from NYP’s School of Interactive & Digital Media worked tirelessly for four months to create the 360-degree motion graphics videos for Rolls-Royces motor cars Singapore. "The Reflection of You" is based on the reflection of progressive abstract lines and shapes that reflected the contours of the car exterior.

Our 2015 student showcase is a compilation of the original motion graphics work of our students, for your inspiration!

SG51 - National Day Parade 2016

These motion graphics were the laborious undertaking of 17 students from the Motion Graphics Design course in Nanyang Polytechnic.

The students, who worked on NDP as part of their final-year project, were split into two teams, which spent three months each brainstorming and designing visuals like a bamboo forest, fire whips, and wayang kulit (shadow puppets).

Their work will be displayed for about 14 minutes - during Act 1: Badang and the Singapore Stone, and Act 2: Our Four Civilisations.

SG50 - National Day Parade 2015

Students from the Diploma in Motion Graphics Design assisted the SG50 NDP show committee in creating a rich palette of animated visuals that complements the live performances. This big scale motion graphics projection mapping run on 330x260m wall to wall & 80x60m on the ground covered with motion graphics contents and interaction coordination with the live performances.

Nestle Project- Milo

A permanent projection exhibition to showcase an education content video of the milo production process. This is cross collaborative effort between our two diplomas, Students from the Diploma in Motion Graphics Design and Diploma in Visual Effects.

Khong Guan TVC

In this project students are collaborating with a local biscuits manufacture Khong Guan, to produce a 30sec TVC spot. The objective of this TVC is to bring the brand awareness of Khong Guan biscuits to the light of the general public and engage interest to a new younger demographic group in Singapore. It should highlight the strong connection with the country, and as such, how the company has grown with the country.
