Controlled release transdermal drug-infused nanofibre patch
School of Engineering

The project was developed for an industrial application where a drug-infused patch was created for a medical product. The materials were developed then spun into nanofibres using an electrospinning machine. The fibres were infused and encapsulated with drugs, then formed into a patch which can be applied on the skin. The patch slowly releases the drugs through the skin over a period of time.
