NYP has signed an MOU with IBM on 4 Mar 2008 to launch the Business Software Innovation Centre. The centre will deliver innovative solutions based on the benefits of Web 2.0 and Mashup technology to allow enterprises to grow their business and drive new markets.
The Centre aims to strengthen capabilities in Web 2.0 technologies, leveraging on years of technical exchanges between NYP and IBM on Web Services, Open Computing Standards, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and RFID technologies. It will also allow the industry to leverage on the Centre’s infrastructure and expertise to apply IBM Social Networking software and Mashup technologies in innovative enterprise solutions. Students will also directly benefit from the centre as it will also include more Web 2.0 technologies as an integral part of the curriculum for NYP IT students.
