The School of Information Technology (SIT) partnered Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies to research and develop a highly resilient and secure distributed systems in the cloud to address the limitations of encryption and data remanence in the cloud. The system allows organisations to create multiple virtual secure file systems for workgroup collaboration and uses information dispersal, secret-sharing and All-or-Nothing Transform for data security. In addition, the system supports server-less operation (no infrastructure setup required) and multi-cloud and policy-based secure data placement.
