ACI Trainee Management System (TMS) Phase 3

School of Information Technology (SIT) and Asian Culinary Institute (ACI) have collaborated to design and develop a web-based IT solution called Trainee Management System (TMS) to streamline processes in the management of courses and trainee information.

In the past, flat files were used to manage course information and this created issues such as duplication, difficulty in searching and updating information across different courses. The new system, TMS, enables ACI staff to quickly and effortlessly manage multiple courses with ease. ACI staff also no longer need to keep paper copies of trainees’ registration and information.

TMS has an intuitive interface and is web responsive, giving the user greater flexibility to use any device to access the same system.

A reporting module with TMS also significantly reduced the time and effort required to churn out reports and statistics, increasing the staff's work efficiency.

Next, SIT and ACI are exploring to integrate various APIs provided by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to their new TP Gateway system to enable seamless synchronisation of information between ACI’s TMS and SkillsFuture Singapore’s systems.
