Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) by the School of Business Management

A unique pedagogy to nurture innovation and enterpreneurship

Through real-world projects that we call TEPs, students manage real businesses on campus. They will apply their knowledge and deepen their skills while providing a wide range of business solutions to industry partners.

In their final year, learners will be assigned projects to provide business proposals, research papers, and solutions for businesses and organisations. Thrive in supportive environment, with mentorship from experienced lecturers in centers equipped with state-of-the-art tools and facilities.

Learners emerge from the TEP with confidence in their technical proficiency and essential soft skills such as teamwork, leadership and critical thinking.

With the TEP experience, stay ahead of the curve with the latest industry pulse and trends. Graduate job-ready, ready to take on your next challenge!

Project Highlights

Sustainability Week with Monde Nissin

Special curated sustainable menu using plant-based ingredients. This menu was then served at L'Rez during the restaurant's own sustainability week.

Norwegian Seafood Council Project

Immersive learning experience as learners worked alongside world-renowned Chef Christian André Pettersen and his team. A total of 30 learners from Diploma in Food & Beverage Business (Culinary Arts Specialisation) worked with Chef Christian – and they served up food to 35 of Singapore’s top chefs.

SMRT Employer Branding

Our learners conducted focus group discussions and perception surveys with SMRT staff and the public, gathering opinions to understand what SMRT staff thought about SMRT as a workplace, as well as ideas to show off SMRT’s engaging work culture.

Using what they learned, they created a social media playbook for SMRT. This playbook includes tips on how SMRT can show off its workplace culture and connect better with people online through employer branding and creative content ideas.

Elyza Bte Ridhuan (Dip. in Business Management, Class of 2024) shares:

“Through this Employer Branding project for SMRT, I was able to apply what I learnt at NYP SBM – including independently analysing survey results to identify trends and messages to showcase SMRT as an attractive workplace in areas of innovation, teamwork, and career development. With this project, I even clinched an opportunity to complete a three-month internship with SMRT!”

“These hands-on experiences not only deepened my understanding but also helped me develop valuable skills that are essential in today’s business world. My time at NYP was filled with opportunities that shaped my academic and personal growth, and I’m excited to see how these experiences will continue to propel me forward.”
