NYP's Fresh Take on National Day Celebrations 2025
We're especially excited to extend our creative works into new and innovative territories.
For the first time, Singapore's bustling Orchard Road got a creative boost from talents at our School of Design & Media. At The Heeren, 22 students from Diploma in Communications & Motion Design stopped pedestrians in their tracks with their eye-catching 3D anamorphic creations.

Meanwhile, along Rochor Road, Ten Square's unique three-sided LED display became a canvas for seven students from our Specialist Diploma in Digital Media Production!

"I chose a gachapon machine because of Ten Square's location and audience," shares Lee Xin Yi, one of the creators behind the displays. "The gachapon is fun, nostalgic, and eye-catching, which works for all ages. Plus, the balls were perfect for creating the depth illusion where they pop out of the screen."
For Iris Helena, balancing work and studies made the project especially meaningful. "It's such a rewarding feeling to walk past the area and see our hard work on display," she reflects.
Beyond that, we also conducted a three-day workshop for 40 National Servicemen (NSmen) involved in NDP's multimedia production. This new initiative equipped them with essential video production and editing skills needed for their roles in the national celebration.

And there's more to that – 30 of our own Diploma in Communication & Motion Design students made history at Singapore's biggest show. They created a 12-minute visual performance celebrating the Singapore Spirit at National Day Parade 2025!
