At the centre of the national celebrations is the NDP Multimedia Show. Thirty final-year learners created Chapter 2: Go Beyond, a 15-minute opening act shown at the Kallang Sports Hub, which pushed learners to design beyond traditional screens and tell a story on a national stage. Their motion graphics appear across 11 stadium display surfaces, coming together as one synchronised story for the live audience.

The creativity continues online with a dedicated hyper-realistic social media campaign. A team of 28 final-year learners from the Diploma in Communication & Motion Design and the Diploma in Animation, Games & Visual Effects partnered with the NDP Strategic Communications Department to produce 11 unique content pieces.

Inspired by the theme “Beyond Here, Beyond Now, Beyond Me,” these compelling narratives seamlessly integrate the beloved mascot, August, into live-action Singapore landmarks to celebrate resilience, unity, and community spirit.

From the classroom to Orchard Road: Our students' public installation brought massive creative energy to the city. Head over to see the highlights on our Instagram to catch a glimpse of the final work in action.

The celebration extends to Orchard Road, where 22 final-year learners from the Diploma in Communication & Motion Design and the Diploma in Animation, Games & Visual Effects developed 11 original 3D anamorphic artworks. The top six selected digital pieces transform the iconic Orchard Heeren LED screen into a captivating optical illusion.

Running from 13 July to 9 August, these innovative designs make objects appear to leap out of the digital boundaries, engaging the public with larger-than-life animations.

They help capture 2026 NDP theme of, "Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!". By taking creative ownership of the narrative, the students animated the mascot August, inspired by the theme of ‘Beyond Here, Beyond Now, Beyond Me’.

These works run across synchronised LED displays at Ten Square and Wilkie Edge, delivering a continuous motion graphics experience that connects two prominent urban spaces.

These projects reflect NYP’s commitment to authentic industry collaboration. At NYP, education means going beyond the classroom to actively deliver impactful creative works for a national audience. It is an opportunity to turn your passion into real-world impact, ensuring that when you graduate, you step into the industry not just as a student, but as a confident, future-ready professional.
