• Interns profile: NYP interns are final-year students, well-trained in their respective fields.
• Duration: Depending on the diploma programme, the duration of internship varies from 12 to 24 weeks. The typical 12 weeks internship commences in March, June, September and November whereas the 24 weeks internship commences in March and September.
• Allowance: The recommended baseline monthly allowance differs among diplomas and sectors. The allowance is mutually agreed upon through discussions between companies and internship coordinators.
• Insurance: NYP's full-time students on internships are covered under the Work Injury Compensation (WIC) insurance. Injuries occurred during the duration of their internships (local and overseas) will be covered, up to $50,000 per injury.
