Specialised Modules

Compensation and Benefits Management [60 hours]

In today's competitive business environment, it is important to have an efficient compensation and benefits management system to attract, motivate and retain employees. In this module, learners will learn how to carry out internal and external benchmarking to design appropriate types and levels of compensation for the organization. They will also learn about incentive payments and benefit design and best practices. Through integration of the different concepts, learners will be equipped to better manage the compensation and benefits of an organization to achieve its people and business objectives.


Employee & Industrial Relations [60 hours]

It is essential that HR professionals be familiar with local labour policies and legislation. This module focuses on the understanding and analysis of the Employment Act and other important legislation such as the Retirement and Re-Employment Act, Workplace Safety and Health Act, Work Injury Compensation Act, Child Development Co-savings Act and the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act. It will also provide the knowledge needed to manage employee relations effectively under the tripartism framework involving employer, union and government. The module will present to learners commonly encountered scenarios involving employment legislation and employee relations management that highlight the obligations and rights of the employer and the employee.


Human Resource Development [60 hours]

In order to attract and retain talent in an ever competitive workforce, it is important for organisations to create workplaces that provide their employees with the opportunity to learn and grow in their careers. In this module, learners will gain a better understanding of the responsibilities of human resource development in organisations and the broadening role of training towards learning and strategic training. Human Resource and Mobility Management [60 hours]
