Punggol Point Agri-Hub is an innovative community hub to build Singapore's Food Resilience through Hydroponics. The Agri-Hub plugs into the Punggol Digital District’s infrastructure to bring synergy to the community through its R&D labs and Community Hydroponics farms. The hub also serves an educational purpose through the concept of “EAT-PLAY-LEARN” as it weaves itself into the existing coastal park connector.

ArchiFuture Design Challenge 2023 organized by Singapore University of Technology & Design

 

The Design Challenge focuses on a new narrative for the future of Singapore city. Our learner, Ng Choon Yee (Class of 2023) came out tops with her competition entry titled "The Revival of the Awakening Spirits". Her project envisions how Nature and its Wildlife which used to thrive at Balestier takes over as the New Order to co-exists with the urban community, informing a New way of life to consume, dine, weave and play. Choon Yee also had the honour of receiving the prize from DPM Heng Swee Keat. Congrats!

Mycroverse - SIA Outstanding Project Award Winner

Singapore Institute of Architects Outstanding Project Award Winner Alison Liew Chooi Yee

Mycroverse is an architectural proposal that facilitates the research and innovation of Mycelium which is an eco-friendly, sustainable, and a renewable resource capable of endless possibilities. Through the death of the fungi grown, a building material can be extracted that is fire-resistant, light yet strong. In the same spirit, this place dignifies and commemorates death of the beloved by allowing new life to regenerate from their remains.

Overseas Immersion Trip x Bamboo Workshop at Sibu, Sarawak

13 of our learners led by 2 staff, collaborated with 20 over architecture undergraduates from University of Technology, Sarawak over a period of 5 days to construct 2 bamboo pavilions for an Iban village community. Learners gained priceless hands-on experience and knowledge working on this sustainable material alongside local students and community. It was certainly a good handphone-detox for that 5 days with lots of fresh air and sumptuous good food cooked by the villagers!
