Supply Chain Challenge++
School of Business Management

The Supply Chain Challenge++ (SCC++) is organised annually by the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). This year, seven teams from the Diploma in Business Management (Supply Chain Management Specialisation) made it to the semi-finals - out of a total of 81 participating teams from ITE and the polytechnics. The seven teams proposed innovative ideas such as mobile applications and software for warehouse and distribution management, automated technologies to ease warehouse and inventory operations, and e-commerce solutions for companies to reinvent their businesses during these challenging times. Teams JJGY and MCDD successfully progressed to the SCC++ finals, and received a five-week mentorship from their mentor companies: Germaxco Shipping Agencies and Jacobson Global Logistics (JGL). Team JJGY proudly emerged as the 2nd runner up in the competition, leaving judges impressed with their detailed analysis of Germaxco’s operational issues and recommended solutions for cloud-based Warehouse Management System and AGV. Hot on their heels was Team MCDD following closely as the 3rd runner up, with their proposed app and robot to ease communications and work processes between JGL and its supply chain partners.
