Wellness Programme for Autism Disorder
School of Business Management
Our year 3 student, Welly Lim, from the Diploma in Sport & Wellness Management (DSWM), conducted a Wellness programme for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from Trampolene, a non-profit organisation for Person with Disabilities (PWDs), during 5-week of Lifestyle & Wellness Management (LWM) stopover. Most Livestream contents were tailored for non-PwDs persons. His programme aimed to target ASD persons to improve skill acquisition and self-regulatory behaviour, focusing on ASD people transitioning from post-graduation to employment. A part of his programme included strategies and a choreographed Hip Hop dance curated with step by step instructions for participants to follow at their own homes. His inclusive programme was well received by the ASD participants as well as the Trampolene’s organiser and LWM supervisor.
