Christmas Video for The Big Picture @ Suntec

This Christmas video was playing on The Big Picture at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

At 15 metres tall and 60 metres wide, 3rd-year students had to produce the animation work at 10k resolutions (IMAX is at 8k!).

The team used Kinect to motion capture the animation for 60 odd background characters’ animation.

This innovative solution helped the project save at least one month of the team’s efforts.

They delivered a total of 150 visual effects shots over six months. Some of them even travelled to Penang to join the production crew in filming.

When Duty Calls

This work was produced and telecasted by MediaCorp channel 8, to commemorate 50 years of National Service in Singapore. On top of standard backgrounds clean up and gun fires, our students had the opportunity to work on major Visual Effects scenes like an earthquake, fighter jets and MRT explosion sequences!
