School of Information Technology

NYP and Cisco Systems jointly signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 21 Feb 2019 to setup the Centre of Innovation for Advanced Network, Cyber Security & Collaboration. This centre will serve as a satellite development hub to complement the Cisco Customer Centre (CXC) to provide a space for our staff and students to enhance capabilities in the realm of cybersecurity, intent-based networking and collaborative technologies. It is also an incubator for new industry solutions, collaborative workspace services and innovative showcases in technology trends.

Cisco Systems has been our partners in co-creation of curriculum since 2000. The adoption of the Cisco Network Academy curriculum into our teaching content and delivery has prepared our students to be industry-ready.  More than 7,000 students have since benefitted from the programme and will continue to prepare more students for the future.

“The pool of expertise in deep networking skills is ever in high demand in the industry. I believe our continued strategic partnerships going forward will help develop capabilities in the areas of advanced networking, cyber security and collaboration solution. Cisco Systems is the world leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate.  We are very happy to collaborate with Cisco Systems,” said Daniel Wee, Director, School of Information Technology.
