NYP and TIBCO jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on the 24 June 2019 to setup the Centre of Innovation for Connected Intelligence.

About 1,500 students from School of Information Technology (SIT) will have access to the complete TIBCO software suite which includes TIBCO CloudTM Mashery®, TIBCO StreamBase® and TIBCO Spotfire® through this MOU.

The new centre will serve as a platform for manpower development in areas such as low code development, API management and streaming analytics & visualisation. It also aims to enhance our learners’ capabilities through the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies on industry projects and how companies make informed business decisions by leveraging on real-time data.

“Most industry recognizes that the role of digital technology is shifting from a driver of efficiency to an enabler of innovation. Nation-wide initiatives such as: Singapore’s Smart Nation and the Government’s digital transformation effort, requires highly skilled IT professionals. NYP serves the industry by providing its learners with the latest technology in connected intelligence with application development and integration on multiple platforms,” said Daniel Wee, Director for School of IT. “Close partnership between industry-oriented educational institutions and the industry are essential to address the training needs of the workforce.”
