The Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) and learners from the Diploma in Sport and Wellness took on the exciting challenge of organising a Sports Day for the Accor Singapore Hotel Group. They offered over 15 sports activities, including traditional outdoor games like football and basketball, as well as unique experiences like indoor Zwift cycling. They created a detailed schedule, assigned qualified volunteers, coordinated logistics, and prioritised the safety of the 300 ACCOR staff. Working closely with industry professionals, they developed a comprehensive event plan that emphasised strategic communication, effective team management, and marketing strategies. The Sports Day also highlighted eco-friendly initiatives, encouraging participants to opt for clean fuel transportation to contribute to a greener environment. This practical lesson in sport event management provided valuable insights into the challenges and responsibilities faced by event organisers in the real world.
