The Year Three cohort of learners from the Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management battled sleep and traffic to embark on a learning journey to FutureFarm in Johor Bahru. There, they delved into the world of sustainable tourism, learning about organic and pesticide-free food cultivation. Farmer Seng, the guide at FutureFarm, revealed the fascinating use of insects and companion plants to promote sustainable farming practices. At Desaru Fruit Farm, the learners gamely held larvae and worms involved in the composting process, proving that they were unfazed. The day's adventures culminated in a delicious fruit-infused meal at Desaru Fruit Farm, capping off a day filled with enthusiasm, learning, and eco-friendly exploration.
