NYP alumnus Peter Draw has been named the world’s most viewed digital artist on Giphy on 29 Nov. He’s achieved – wait for it… more than 38.5 billion views for his work. (so imagine the entire population of the world? Then multiply that by about slightly less than FIVE times… that is the number we’re talking about).

Giphy is an popular search engine company for gifs (graphic interchange format) – yes we all use it to send animated characters to each other on our messaging apps.

Peter, whose real surname is Zhuo, is an alumnus of  NYP’s School of Business Management, where he took up a Diploma in Banking & Financial Management (now known as Diploma in Banking & Finance).

“The NYP environment was one which helped me to dream big; I had supportive lecturers and attended motivational talks about future careers,” recalled Peter.

His gifs of  Ai and Aiko were first uploaded in August 2018. And they were the stars of a stop-motion film, launched in Dec 2018, called “Love Can Happen Anywhere” . The heart-warming tale of loss and the courage to love again touched millions.

Peter’s message to young people – including current and future NYP students?  “You can do it too.”
