Final year students, Tan Yong Xiang and Lin Fei from School of Business Management (SBM) Diploma in Food & Beverage Business clinched first runner-up at the Ningbo International Young Chefs Challenge (NIYCC) held in Ningbo City, China from 22 to 26 Oct. Accredited by a panel of internationally acclaimed World Chefs judges, it’s the ultimate arena for budding culinary talents from all over the world to display their skills. The duo – who competed against 158 young chefs from 32 competing nations – was awarded silver for the team category of “Two to Tango”. Both will be in action again at WorldSkills Singapore 2020, a biennial competition for youths to showcase their skills.
